About Me

Pascal Jesset

Chief Instructor

When I started practising Aikido, I joined both the British Aikido Federation (BAF) in England and the french federation of “Aikido, Aikibudo et Affinitaires” (FFAAA) in France. Located in North London, I joined a North London Aikido Dojo which was then part of the British Aikido Federation under the direction of Shihan Minoru Kanetsuka 8 dan. At the same time I practised at the Cercle Tissier in Vincennes with Shihan Christian Tissier 8 dan. I also joined Aikido Ryushinkan in London and attended the classes of Shihan Minoru Kanetsuka Sensei 8 dan.

I trained extensively under senior instructors from the Cercle Tissier, in particular with Shihan Patrick Benezi 7 dan, by attending monthly seminars in France. I left the BAF and Aikido Ryushinkan to spend all my time at the Cercle Tissier and attended most of the seminars of Shihan Christian Tissier 8 dan and Shihan Patrick Benezi 7 dan in France and London.

My main influence is the instruction of Shihan Christian Tissier 8 dan, Shihan Patrick Benezi 7 dan and Marc Bachraty 6 dan. I have attended various classes at the Cercle Tissier with Marc Bachraty 6 dan.

I also trained with Shihan Kazuo Chiba 8 dan including Shihan Shigeru Sugawara 8 dan and Shihan Yukimitsu Kobayashi 8 dan, both senior instructors at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo.

I am a UK coach level 1 qualified instructor under the British Aikido Board and CRB checked.
